What A Stud!!

I haven't had a chance to post lately cause we've been so busy with baseball so i'm going to go back a little. On saturday june 12th Braken had a doubleheader baseball games to play, so we show up and are warming up and not all of our players are their so were getting a little nervous cause game time is approaching, well we didn't end up having enough players too play. So coach Jett and coach Scott decide to put little Payton in to play and have some fun, (keep in mind payton's 6 years old these boys are 8 and they play on a real field, payton played t-ball on grass so a big difference). He was really nervous and didn't know if he wanted to he even cried cause i think it was just so overwhelming for him, but after a little pep talk from his dad and a team cheering him on to come play he decided to go for it. And That He Did! It was the coolest thing a mom could sit and watch both her boys play baseball together and one being an underdog and the other letting him know it will all be o.k. It was the 2 greatest games i've ever watched,(we did win by the way). My only wish was that Payton could of hit a ball off the pitcher, he didn't but he got on base and ran and scored, that's all that mattered. When he finally overcome his fear he started to have fun finally and thought that was the coolest thing ever to play on a real baseball field. And he took one for the team right off his forehead and has a great scar to share his story with others some day, he cried all right but shook it off and kept playing. Way to go BUDDY WE WERE SO PROUD OF YOU FOR TRYING AND YOU HELD YOUR OWN!!

  1. Seriously one of the cutest things I have ever seen was Payton. I know we wanted him to get a hit as well, so much fun!
