Annual Pumpkin Carving Party

So it's that time of year again to carve our pumpkins and have a party. Our kids enjoyed doing this so much we decided to involve the whole family so we've been doing this for about 9 years now and we have a ball. Most the time we have dinner just depends on the year and what we have going, this year we had chile verde burrittos and they were delish, thanks mom, and grandma Cynthia brought 7 layer dip and that's our favorite so thanks for that. Braken and Payton were in charge of carving their very own pumpkins this year that's what they wanted to do so we let them with very close supervision and a little help from dad along the way. No stitches thank goodness and they did a great job, they even designed their own pumpkin faces and let me tell you they have been thinking about this literally all month and it's changed probably 4 times per kid. They wrote it down on paper and everything, I just love kids imaginations cause I probably would never think of some of the stuff they come up with. If you look closely at Paytons pumpkin in the 3rd to last picture on the top left his pumpkin has 4 eyes, very impressive The grandparents don't carve they just encourage the good work. Thanks for your support. It was a fun night, I can't believe the holidays are around the corner this year has flown by and there's no turning back. Grandparents: GOTTA LOVE EM
Braken loves this part even though he says it feels so weird

not Payton's favorite thing to do

Scott's such a good dad even the dog Zoey gets a pumpkin with her initials in it, how sweet

food: $30
costumes: $20
pumpkins :Free
Family Time: PRICELESS

WHY SO SERIOUS?

Can you believe that this is what you pull out of those almost perfect pumpkins? GROSS

Dad I can cut the pumpkin myself! (not when the knife is pointing at you when your cutting so we had to have the 101 class on how to carve a pumpkin and that we didn't want to visit the hospital tonight) Great Talk Love It

Braken with his grandpa Blackham

Zoey thinks it should be all about her!!!

Lindsay carving away at her pumpkin

Here's the results, turned out great like always: top left is Paytons, top right is Brakens, bottom left is mine (Brooke's), and bottom right is Lindsays, we didn't have a candle for Zoey's but her's is in there somewhere.
