Friday Night Lights

You gotta love scouts, this was our first experience with The Pinewood Derby, and the boys loved it. Both cars came in dead last everytime so obviously we need to step up our game for next year and hopefully we can win. It's amazing the rules for this department and how creative these kids get with their cars. Now looking at it we did it half fast compared to all the others so we have our game faces on, and we'll be ready for next time. The scouts did pizza for the families and a good night of derby racing, it was alot of fun, and we just want to thank all the leaders for everything they do for these boys, they make it enjoyable and their great at their callings. Payton's is car #88 the blue and gray, Braken's is #77 the red and black and they even painted it themselves. They did a great job. It was fun putting them together I didn't know you could buy body kits, paint kits, alter the axles, use different wheels, get blocks of wood and carve them yourselves or get the precut ones and sand them down to customize it to your content and style and through this all I even googled Pinewood Derby to get some information as far as weight (cause they can't be over 5oz. yep I know pretty impressive I know that huh?) and there are websites out there for this stuff and the prices people will pay for these cars customized to their own style is Baffling. (if that's even a word or pretty much amazed) I had to sit and laugh for a minute when I was reading these websites when I finally realized, these kids (and sometimes dad lol) take this stuff very serious. Wish we would've of to begin with, but hey now we know, plus we were short for time to say the least. The scouts were hilarious to watch, and talk about competition, especially at these boys age, when you loose it doesn't go over well (if you know what I mean hahaha).

yep your seeing it right a golf cart, police car, fire truck. Thats' Awesome
