I post easter pictures because they all turn out so cute even though I hate the holiday itself. With my new obssession Pinterest now (along with the rest of the world) I found a few different ideas on how to color easter eggs besides the traditional way of buying the kit, so we tested it out and it didn't turn out too bad. We used kool-aid which the boys wanted to drink because it smelled so good and food coloring, it was interesting to see the colors after, and I think it was worth the shot, I also baked my eggs to make them hard boiled instead of cooking them on the stove and I have found that the majority of the eggs were easier to peel being baked then cooked, thanks again pinterest (what a great website). So I was definately going out on a limb this year trying all sorts of new stuff. And again this holiday just wasn't the same not having Grandma Cynthia here and her 300 easter egg hunt, It breaks our hearts to hear our boys talk about it and miss her so much knowing that their is nothing we can do about it. They did take their favorite colored eggs and they put them on her grave when we went to visit, not the greatest feeling but we are blessed to be able to visit a spot dedicated to her, and we keep her in our hearts often and miss and love her so much! But we stayed busy trying to make sure everything was ready and done, between birthdays, baseball, easter and life in general lol and I think we barely made it. Hope you all had a good Easter, may we remember the true meaning.
